South-East Indiana Recreational & Farm Land Professional
My folks starting letting me go to the woods when I was five years old. That sort of parenting might get the law called on you today, but I believe it was one of the best things they ever did for me. It was my first glimpse of independence and confidence building, a time to stretch my imagination and turn 80 acres into the entire frontier. Sitting by the creek is where I learned to decide what dreams to turn into prayers. And that’s to say nothing of the rabbits I would take to Grandma for her to fry in the cast iron skillet or the black raspberry jam in Ball jars or the sheer joy of finding the first morel of the season. In 2015 my wife and I jumped at the opportunity to purchase a home and few acres adjacent to my parent’s and now I take my children to the woods. I teach them the things my grandfather and father-in-law have taught me and we eat venison summer sausage in the creek bottom it came from.
So I know in the deepest part of my bones that land is, indeed, more than dirt. That’s why, as your agent, I want to find you the best possible property to meet your needs for whatever that “more” is for you. Professionally, I have been involved in the crop insurance industry since 2009. First as an adjuster, and most recently the managing partner of my own agency. Land values, government conservation programs, tax implications, cash rent rates, and just about anything else that might affect a land owner have been a part of my daily life as result of this career. A life time in the ag world has also taught me that the decision to sell land is one that is never arrived at easily. As a listing agent, I’ll bring an awareness and sensitivity to our relationship that will be sure to get you the deal that will bring you peace of mind.
Let’s share some hunting stories, explore some properties, and if you’re lucky, I just might share my backstrap recipe. I look forward to working with you!
