Personal
My name is Mitch Feenstra and I live in West Michigan between Grand Rapids and the lakeshore. I have been married to my amazing wife, Julie, since 2012. We have four young children, 3 girls and 1 boy. We are a pretty busy family, but we always find time to get outdoors and enjoy time with each other in the sun. My daughters have just recently started planting practice food plots for deer in the back yard with me, and the oldest is even learning how to shoot her new rifle! They all love going hunting, and even if we don’t see anything together, they keep coming back for more.

Past
I grew up on a blueberry farm and started working on the farm with my Grandpa as soon as my parents would let me. I was picking blueberries for the market by 8 years old helping my mom because that’s just what you did back then. I worked on the farm until I turned 16, and then I decided that I wanted to build houses, so I got a job framing houses in the summer. I never expected to love building as much as I did, but I ended up building houses for the next 17 years. I had a few other ideas that I tried along the way, but I always ended up back in construction.

Current
Since 2009, I have been wrapped up in the world of real estate. My best friends became agents and it seemed like that’s all we talked about for years. I was in construction, so I always wanted to know everything about what was going on in real estate. Eventually my friends, through hard work and knowledge of the industry, became one of the highest producing teams in the state. In 2019, I was made an offer to join the Base Camp Country Real Estate team and I couldn’t resist. Now I work closely with all those friends of mine, who have been sharing their knowledge and experience with me for the last decade or more.

Working with buyers is one of my favorite parts of the job. I get to go out with clients that have the same interests as myself, and we get to just go check out all kinds of awesome properties! What could be better? When I meet with a new buyer, we will go over all the details of what they are looking for, and we will narrow down the search, based on their needs. This typically includes price, location, type of land, amount of land, and any other personal needs that the buyer might request. I have constant searches going, looking for any new properties that might come up, and I make sure that my clients are completely updated when something does come up. When we find that perfect property for you, you can be sure that with my experience and knowledge of the industry and negotiation, we will get the property for you at the best possible price.
