Ever since I can remember I’ve been obsessed with the outdoors or being outdoors. I tell people I work to pay for my bowhunting addiction, which is quite accurate. I’ve traveled to a dozen different states over the last 40 years pursuing big game with my bow and arrow and have been a hunting guide for the last 20+.
My name is Dan Perich, and although I was born in Germany (army brat) my real home was just outside of Allentown, Pa. I grew up in a rural community in a family where hunting was revered and necessary.
After high school I graduated from Mansfield University (Pa) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and got a teaching job in the Pocono Mountain School District. I taught sixth grade and coached basketball for almost 9 years.
I left teaching in 1998 to pursue a career in commercial real estate sales where I’ve been ever since. In 2014 I opened my own office under the KW Commercial brand.
I own a 70-acre farm in the Cherry Valley region of the Pocono Mountains where I do my best to grow and manage for better whitetails. I’ve been planting food plots and learning a lot about soil science and health in order to grow the most nutritious food for deer and other wildlife.
I almost exclusively hunt with a bow and arrow and have over 20 mounts on my wall. My best whitetail buck, taken in Illinois scores over 172. The elk I killed in Idaho scored 432 but the biggest animal I’ve ever taken has been my black bear. Currently he stands at #2 all time in Pennsylvania with a skull measurement of 22 8/16th which is only 1/16th short of the all-time record.
My alliance with Base Camp Country is a perfect fit. Although I still have a commercial real estate company my passion is the outdoors and I look forward to working with people similarly inclined.
