I was born and raised in rural Parke County Indiana on a family farm.
My love for the outdoors began early in my life while tagging alongside my 2 older brothers who were already avid outdoorsman. They taught me what I needed to look for whether we were hunting turkeys, deer or just out scouting looking for that next great spot.
Finally, after a few years of learning the ropes, my opportunity came to harvest my first whitetail buck.
It was just a spike, but it felt like he was the biggest in the woods that day.
Although we no longer farm, I still live on the same farm with my wife Lori and 2 children Hunter and Emily.
I have taken many kids over the years to harvest their first animal and it never gets old seeing the joy on their faces that I experienced myself many years ago.
