Josh grew up on a small farm outside of Elk Mound in West-Central Wisconsin, where he developed a deep understanding of agricultural land, rural property management, and the value of hard work. From an early age, he was involved in farming operations and the development of family farmland near Modena and Fountain City in Buffalo County—experiences that shaped his lifelong appreciation for productive land and responsible stewardship.
After high school, Josh enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served as a helicopter mechanic in North Carolina. The discipline, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills he gained in the military carried into a successful aviation career. Following his service, Josh relocated to Great Falls, Montana, where he continued working as a civilian helicopter mechanic under contract with the U.S. Air Force.
Montana’s wide-open spaces and world-class hunting opportunities drew Josh deeper into land-based work and relationships. He transitioned into industrial sales, a role that allowed him to travel extensively throughout central Montana, work directly with landowners, and gain firsthand knowledge of agricultural, ranch, and recreational properties across the region. Over the past several years, Josh has logged thousands of miles on Montana’s back roads, developing an in-depth understanding of terrain, access, water sources, habitat, and land use across varying elevations and mountain ranges.
Josh has spent countless hours on both public and private land, studying wildlife patterns, migration corridors, and habitat requirements for elk and deer. His experience includes successful harvests across multiple regions of the state, providing him with a practical understanding of what makes land valuable for hunting, recreation, and long-term investment. This on-the-ground knowledge allows Josh to help clients evaluate properties not just on paper, but based on how the land truly functions.
With a background in farming, extensive time spent on Montana landscapes, and a strong work ethic, Josh is uniquely positioned to help buyers and sellers of ranch, farm, and recreational properties achieve their goals. Whether a client is looking for productive agricultural ground, a recreational retreat, or a legacy property to pass down for generations, Josh brings experience, honesty, and local insight to every transaction.
When he’s not working with clients or traveling Montana’s rural communities, Josh enjoys spending time with his young son and girlfriend, fishing, hunting in Montana and other states, and giving back through veteran-focused nonprofit work. He also serves on the board of the Great Falls chapter of Safari Club International.
